Kurz PC1x & pc2

Yesterday I went to the local Kurz Dealers and found something very exciting.

Orginally i planned to buy a PC1x, which is HKD$ 9,800 (around US$1256), to act as my master keyboard controller for my K2500R.
But then there's another PC2 display model on sale, and it's $9900 (like US$ 13 more expensive then the pc1x)


Since Pc1x and Pc2 are nearly identical (in terms of functions), except the SPDIF, KB3 organ and those nice ROM inherent from k2600 series.

One drawback is that the keys of that PC2 is wihtout the weighted action, and actually had luck to tried on both Pc1x and pc2. Obviously the action of the Pc2 keys ain't good at all, very plastic-ky and fake.


But then I'd love the KB3 Organ and those fader-style parameters controllers.......

If you were me, which one would you probably go for? Pc1x or Pc2? Obviously the $US 13 is not a problem at all, but the thing I concern is, is it worth while to give up the great keyboard touch offered PC1x for Pc2's extra functions?

My PC's sound card doesnt support SPDIF recording, yet there are chances that I would add that option someday...

Well, I think we can't help you with that, but I understand your problem. You have to think about it very carefully:
What is more important for you?
- more/better sounds or
- a better keyboard?

Answer this question and you'll have the answer on which keyboard you should buy! After reading your post again, it looks like the weighted keys seem to be pretty important for you, so I'd nearly say that you should take the weighted one, but don't listen to me - answer the question above! ;)

That is a real dilemma! :o I wouln't know. I think I'd choose Pc-2. It comes closer to professionality. And the keys, you'll get udes to it.
