Guys,

Just wondering if anybody here went to the Frankfurt MM show and checked out the new M-Audio Keystation Pro 88. It looks like the keyboard that I have been after for a while and set to get it. Anybody tried it out, I would like opinions on key action mainly. Any info would be really cool. Its gonna take me a little while to get to play one as I have nasty virus at the moment. !!! here I go to throw up again... :(

Wasn't there, haven't tried it, but I similarly am very interested in getting my hands on this beast. I have a bit of M-Audio gear (2 Delta 1010LT's, and a Midisport 4x4, soon to be added to by a pair of BX8's and possibly a SBX) and have been really impressed with the quality and performance.

You've obviously read http://messe.harmony-central.com/Musikmesse04/Content/M-Audio/PR/Keystation-Pro-88.html...

Hey Martin,

Me too, I have a few pieces of M-Audio gear, The Duo, BX5's and Solaris mic, the Pro 88 would finish things off nicely and would sure be good to get to play weighted keys again after owning only a synth action keyboard for ages, so hope the hammer action is all its supposed to be.

Justin.

I have a MIDIMan 8x8 interface and its been solid. Only had one problem with it and that was fixed with a firmware upgrade.

That controller looks rather nice, the only issue I would have with it is the wheels and not a stick. Cant seem to find the weight of the unit either.

The neverending discussion between Roland and the rest.

Weight: "Despite the nature of the keyboard, the unit weighs in at a mere 47 lbs.. " (roughly 23 kg for "metric" people)

I use Merge 2x2 and Audiophile USB so M-Audio is the core of my midi gear :). By the way, it looks like that controller's gonna rock the place around :D.
Deceit.

I've seen it here in the UK for sale at Dolphin Internet Store for Ģ399 uk pounds, But also seen it at a few stores in the U.S. Just do a google web search for the Keystation Pro 88. I still have doubts about it, especially after playing a Radium keyboard (Yuk, don't like the action). And I'm also a stick guy, and not sure if I can part with my PCR80 yet !, , I'm also a one keyboard kinda guy so if I do get the Pro 88, its bye bye to all my other gear. Decisions Decisions.... :?
