The JP forum has a jamtrack going at the moment, its a backing made by Kiko Loureiro (guitarist with a band called 'Angra' from Brazil). I did a guitar and keyboard version below.

Me on Keys version:

It was a lot of fun as is any jam track posted....
Cheers, Justin.

Man ...

I've only listened to the mp3 of you on keys so far, but I love it. That's really awesome playing.

Hey Ehren,

Many thanks dude, it was a bit tricky as the jam went on for ages with a few changes but I managed to do this on my 2nd take. Thanks for listening. My guitar version is a little on the basic side but keys is my main thing (I need to concentrate on my keys chops as they are getting a bit rough due to time spent on the guitar).

Hey Magic Dude, Thanks very much...and for listening.

I'm trying to make an album of my own music at the moment, not getting very far though, it takes so much time and also to stick to a project.
Hopefully I'll finish it sometime in the future. :)

hey, man--this is good stuff on the keys. i haven't listened to the guitar yet, but i wouldn't sell yourself short: you have good phrasing and technique on the keyboard. and good phrasing takes a good musical ear, which you obviously have. good work!

Hey thanks man :) , I always try to get some sort of phrasing and melodic ideas flowing, it was an ok attempt but sure was a long time to do a solo.

Thanks very much guys for listening and your comments... :D

I'm more or less playing keys all the time now, I'm finding that the guitar is effecting my keys playing, and the fact that you can do pretty much anything musically with keys. I'll still be hitting those strings from time to time too.

That's very ver ycool, but I want to know, what keyboard you use, and what soudn you used......if it's custom, how did you make it?

Hey Speedy, thanks dude. I created the keyboard lead myself using two different things. The first is Emagic ES1 softsynth which is built into Emagic Logic. The ES1 is a single oscillator synth and I used a basic saw lead patch I made, its monophonic and I also used its built-in chorus effect. The 2nd thing I used was IKM Amplitube guitar amp/FX plugin, I tweaked a factory preset on this plugin for the Distortion/Overdrive. That's basically it. If you have the ES1, I can email you the settings, also that goes for Amplitube. Basically, you can use any monophonic lead sound, put it through amplitube and you're gonna get a cool lead sound, its amplitube which makes any lead patches sound good. :D

Believe it or not, I am buying that particular program pretty soon, so if you could email me at ukjokerbran@aol.com, you could tell me the settings for future use!!

Cheers! :D

Is it Emagic Logic you are buying (As ES1 is part of Logic and you cannot buy this seperately) or Amplitube ? either way I can email both the actual patches for the ES1 and Amplitube which I used so that you can load the settings in. :D

It's amazing how you manage to rock so much on both guitar and keyboard :o Great solos, being the guitar one my favourite of the two. Angra rocks!
