Hi
i am a new member of the forum.
I own a FANTOM-S and i am quite happy with it.
Now i want some more keyboards.
Personally i do have a love towards korg keyboards and a hate for yamaha keyboards.
But i found many of the members strongly speaking against the korg triton extreme sounds.Rather people are more positive about motif es.
I dunno what to do.I have chalked out the following variations---
1. KORG TRITON EXTREME + ROLAND V-SYNTH
2. KORG TRITON EXTREME + YAMAHA MOTIF ES
3. YAMAHA MOTIF ES + ROLAND V-SYNTH
4. KORG KARMA + ROLAND V-SYNTH
I am basically a one -man- performer. So i do have a strong requirement of a good sequencer. Plzz help with your comments.Dont suggest any analog synth or kurzweil. Those are'nt available in our region.
any suggetions will be extremely helpful
Thanx in advance

if you have a love for korg boards, you'll probably love the extreme. i also think korg makes top notch products, much much much more user-friendly than yamaha. yamaha does have some great acoustic instrument sound, but...eh, i haven't been that blown away by a yamaha
actually, for a one-man band, you should really look into a KARMA. it is a one-man band...only on steroids. people compare it often to an auto-accompaniment thing, but it's a million times deeper. you can be controlling the nuances of all of the stuff it plays in real time while you play notes along with it! and you can integrate that with the sequencer and pattern triggering--it's a really powerful tool with killer sounds. obviously it doesn't have as many sounds as the extreme, but it has the full triton engine with all the effects, etc.

Most people love Motif, because it "sounds good" - but a good workstation is more than just sounds!!!
For example, I own Fantom x - and I say it's the best Master Keyboard. It may not have "perfect" sounds (but I'm 100% happy with them) but it has lot's of filters, powerfull sequencer (midi and audio), sampling, and THE MOST EASY INTERFACE ever made.
V-Synth would be a perfect VA, but I think I'll take SH-201.
I recommend Korg Triton Extreme and V-Synth.

I reccomand the karma and the V-synth... but sincerely i don't like korg, i just selled my triton to get an Alesis Fusion, i tried the triton extreme and it didn't sounded so much butter than an standar Triton classic... the piano was a bit improved but i think you can get it with the PCM-08 card.
PS: many people says that the karma sounds warmer than the standard triton...
PS.. the if you want an VA don't buy the V-synth...it's a great synth but its engine isn't the classical VA thing (but it can do some VA thing too)...

What about SH-201? I heard it has almost the same engine, as V-synth...
Would it be "fake"?
Coz I want a good Virtual Analog, for progressive lead sounds...
I'll also check MicroKorg and Alesis Ion, but I prefer SH-201 (at the moment), because it has:
Easy interface
Some cool live performance stuff, like audio in's and D-Beam
Looks nice
But I won't buy it, unless it has very realistic, classic VA prog. synth leads...

Interestingly enough, one of your choices is my long term wish list:
3. YAMAHA MOTIF ES + ROLAND V-SYNTH
Assuming I were to buy the Motif ES-8.
