This is related to this thread http://www.jordanrudess.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7152
The attached stuff is my transcription of the short piece Jordan plays at the beginning of the second receptor tutorial video (Link to the video: http://www.museresearch.com/movies/Receptor_Part_2.mov).
Please note:
- I cut away the middle section of the piece for obvious reasons (Jordan basically keeps repeating a couple of 4/5 note patterns while altering some parameters of the sound, and adding reverb and such... this creates a very cool electronic effect but of course transcribing those notes only is pointless)
- therefore the two remaining section are joined just as they are (and maybe one may feel at first that the transition is a bit rough... nevertheless I got used to it in the end)
- the zip I've attached includes the midi file and the pdf score. I added the pdf as, in my experience, even the best midi files happen to result in a unreadable mess depending on the programm they are imported to.
Transcribed by ear (and, when possible, by eye  ), but some of the passages are so fast that sometimes a bit of intuition (someone could say: guessing) was involved.
I hope this is as close as possible to the original. But I do know it isn't, so comments, suggestions and, above all, desctructive criticism are greatly appreciated.
Thank you
