Hi,
I'm about to buy a brand new K2600xs, and I would like to know what are the most important accessories/options I would have to buy with it.
I will buy :
Orchestral ROM
Contemporary ROM
Daughter Board.

1- What kind of memory should I buy to be able to load samples, record samples, etc ?
2- Do I need a hard drive (if yes, internal or external?) to save my sounds/setups and to load samples and stuff in the K from my computer ?
3- Do I need to buy the Acoustic Piano expansion to have the nice piano sound of the kurzweil (the one JR uses... lol not that I want to copy him, i'm just in love with that particular sound...)
4- What is the Battery Backed P-RAM and what does it do? And should I buy it to take full advantages of the keyboard or it's not that important ?
5- Are there other important options I should buy to really have the full power of it ?

I'm buying it from www.zzounds.com, and I think there are no options at all included (like the ROMs etc..)

Thanks a lot,

Dave

Quote from Kurweils website:

"Sound ROM
The K2600 has four expansion slots for up to 44MB of on-board sample ROM. Expansion board selections include the Orchestral and Contemporary ROM options (included in US models) from the legendary K2000 and K2500 series, as well as the Stereo Dynamic Piano, Vintage Electric Pianos ** and General MIDI** ROM options. "

If the unit that you are ordering from zzounds.com is a US model then it should already come with two ROMS and the daughter-board of course. Hope this info helps!!! : )

You should call them on Monday and find out. Otherwise i'm sure they would be happy to take your money for two ROM's and a daughterboard that you might not need. Here's the phone number for zzounds/ 800.996.8637 : )
