I've got a question concerning the Sample ROM of K2500. Is it possible to save the ROM-samples as editable RAM-samples?

The problem is: I've got a fully loaded K2500XS. Live I just some a few sounds from the additional ROMS (Piano and a Stack). Now I got a K2500RS (I don't want to bring my big baby to those party gigs till somebody spills his beer over it) without expansions - now I still want to use those two ROM-sounds, can I copy the samples as RAM-samples to my rack?

I don't want to do something illegal to get the ROM-sunds without the expansions. I *have* the ROMs, but just in the Keyboard and not in the rack, and for just two sounds I won't get two Rom-boards ;-)

I tried to save the samples as user samples, but it's still just a link the ROM-samples and cannot be copied. Any ideas?

yes - It can be done and I know exactly how as well. Here's the problem: it's a very very tedious process BUT it can be done.
I'm more then willing to work with you to help you make it a completely doable thing but I'm going to tell you right now that it's a long process and you're going to need about 64 megs of sample ram to do it.
I'll help you do all this however. I also don't have any rom options either, but I've programmed the Kurzweil into believing that I DO have them installed when I don't ;) Sneaky guy! lol
Anyway, I'd be VERY interested in working with you to make this all become a reality. I've already finished up the piano rom, so don't worry about that. If you want to contact me in private, I'll let you in on how to do it, and I'll see what I can do about file size to make sure that it won't be 64 megs of samples either.
Let me know what you think!!
