Hiya

I have the Vintage ROM in my Vintage Keys board (VK6) and there's a great collection of stuff in it. There are some great Mellotron choir sounds, some great Tron Flutes (Strawberry Fields, anyone?), some OK Mellotron strings and some iffy Mellotron brass patches. There's a great collection of synth stuff too, all your favourite synths of the 70's and 80's, as well as some great Wurlitzer sounds, some fairly poor Rhodes sounds, and a few of the great B-3 patches taken from the B-3 ROM. Definitely a great addition to your Proteus 1000.

Does the Vintage Keys set have some good B3s without percussion (key click) on? There's a couple really good sounding B3s in the PK6, but none of them have leslies and all of them have percussion on. I've been using my USB MIDI controller and my laptop with Native Instruments B4 on it for B3 tones.. but since I'm a Wurly, Mellotron and Rhodes junkie, I've been eyeing that Vintage Keys card ;) If it can cover the bases I need for B3 tones, that's one less expansion card I need to buy.

Thanks,

Hmmm... I have the B-3 card, so haven't used the B-3 sounds on the Vintage ROM thus far... I should be back set up tonight (been doing a bit of re-rigging in my studio) so I'll have a listen then to 'em and see. I'm not terribly into sounds with percussion, so I'll hopefully notice 'em quickly enough. I'll report back later :)
