i just bought my first synth a few months ago. everytime i program it i learn new things and many questions come to my mind... well, the things is that it is my first synth, and another things is that i'm programming setups and sounds for a DT tribute night.
maybe it would be good if i organize my questions here.

1. i'm trying to create the lead sound of caught in a web (like in 0:47-1:04), i need to know what kind of sound does moore use there? and some help of how to create it and shape it.
2. how can i create that delay fm piano in pull me under (like in 0:39-0:57)?
3. a question that bugs me: where is the best to place the volume knobe: up, at the middle, or whatever? also, i adjust the setups volume through the panvol page (entry volume, exit volume) is that good? is there a better way? can i adjust sounds also in program mode?

thanks

All your questions will be answered at Progsounds dude.

There are setups, sounds and even a Tutorial on how to make setups there STEP BY STEP. I promise we can help you over there, and it's totally free.

Mmh, according to the volume settings: I use to place the master volume (if you mean that) near to the maximum - so the mixer has a good signal to work with, and I have some place to give the quieter sounds more volume. Adjust the layer-volume in the Pan-Page is the best way, that's what this page is for.

Sometimes (depending on our setups) it can be helpful to assign the fader to the volume - not using the pan-page. So you can change it while playing if you need to.

imax, thanks for the quick answers.
when creating setups or whatever, i'm placing the volume knob up at the maximum and i adjust the sounds through the panvol, but what if the panvol of entryvolume: 127 and exitvolume:127 is not loud enough for me and i want a setup zones to sound louder? how can i increase the setup volume in other way (when the volmue knob is up at the maximum and the panvol is at entryvolume: 127 and exitvolume:127)? if possible, would that be a good thing to do? or should i decrease the volume of the other setups to make the one setup zones sound louder?

Now I get the problem :-) well, one way would be of course to turn the other zone down - but that could decrease the sound of the whole setup compared to other setups and you won't hear any of the sounds. So you should go to the program you're using in that zone and turn it's programmed volume up. If you're using internal sounds you can do this (when edit the program) either on the amp-page or the outpur-page.

One question back: I don't use the exit-volume, because if I switch my setups the next setups entry volume will adjust the volume settings anyway. Why do you use it? (entry-volume means the sound settings when entering the etup, and exit-volume the volume when leaving it).

so what is the exitvolume good for?
if i'll change the program volume through the amp page, wouldnt it change shape of the sound? where is the outpure page?

I don't know what the exit volume is for 8) (you don't need it, but it's good to know that it's possible...)

if you found the amp-page press the right soft button which will brign you to the next set of suft buttons, then it's the left one... mmh, understandable? :?
It won't change the shape of your sound as far as I know... but safest way is to change the gain at the output-page - Enigma?
