Hi, new here...

I'd like to buy a keyboard this or next year, I'm looking for a 88-notes, with weighted touches, to play prog rock, classical and jazz (ok everything :p)... I would like to have a joystick like Jordan, and the pitch as well, or at least I would like to have something that can enable me to do some sounds like that.. I could spend between 1500 and 2000 $.

1. http://jordanrudess.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=1 +lotsa other topics. Use your eyes and the search function.
2. Jordan's main board does not have both joystick and pitch wheel. As far as I know there's no such keyboard. (might be tho, I dunno that much)
3. You seem to have a pretty big amount of money to be used, so you have lots of choices. A Korg LE88, a used triton with 88 keys, a used K2500X, Yamahas....

Hi - I searched with that function, but I found 4 topics with nothing about. Maybe, I'm wrong, but sorry i'm new

2. what a shame !! I thought it was common, sorry again.. how did Jordan to have them? is it a customized kurzweil or?

3. ok, where could I find those used keys online? I live in France !
I don't care about the brand, but about the functions, and the quality of the keyboard...

Thanks !

Jordan uses a K2600XS which has a pitch wheel and a mod wheel. There is no joystick.

Try a Yamaha S90, or a Motif ES8 if you want sampling/sequencing.

The most important thing about buying a new instrument is that you MUST have played it and tried it out before buying! You should go to a store and just try out everything you might be interested in - if you've decided which keyboard you want, you can still buy it in the internet, but never buy something which is so expensive without having tried it out!

thanks for these wise advices....
I wanted to know what was the easiest and most friendly use for a keyboard, I want to star programming, sampling etc... I don't think it would make a sense to buy a kurzweil now, it seems so awful to use and program it !!
I just want to incorporate some progs sounds in my band, don't want to get fired by them !!
