i want to buy this switch pedal to switch sounds and setups in my k2500x, do i need the latching or non latching type?
also, what are the differences between them?

I think you would want the unlatching type.

A latching pedal has an ON and OFF state, like a guitar distortion pedal. The Boss FS-5L is a latching pedal.

An unlatching pedal just sends a single signal, perfect for sending "program increment" type signals. The Boss FS-5U is unlatching. In fact I think you could even plug in a regular damper (sustain) pedal and it would work like an unlatched pedal.

i guess i need the unlatching pedal (fs5u).
a sustain pedal can also work as a switch pedal to switch sounds and setup or what ever, but the thing is it dosent feel comfortable. that fs5u pedal looks much more comfertable for doing that.

Yeah I totally agree. I use a Boss FS5L for toggling between fast/slow Leslie and it's much better than using a regular damper.
