View Full Version : different patch volumes, WTF?
i hate this, it it ever so gay that i cant fix this... my problem is that one of my combi's (a choir sound) is about half the volume of all my other sounds. which is pretty annoying because it means when i play live i have to adjust my master volume up and then back down every time i need to use it, which throws off the sound guy and then the whole mix gets fucked up! ive checked the "mix" menu and it was on full and back over in program mode i checked all the volumes of IFX and MFX and whatnot and the only solution i could come up with is to reduce the volumes of every one of my other sounds, does anyone know if there is a simpler way of getting an even volume accross all my sounds??? thanks in advance for any help, Lou.

mmm go into your MFX page and raise all EQ parameter equally. You'll gain at least 6db boost. If isn't enough, add another EQ to as MFX and do the same.

On my triton i've lowered all the combi volumes by an half, so if I need an extra boost on one patch i've only to set the volume a bit higher
ok cheers, ill try the MFX EQ thing. and yeah i thought about going through and lowering all the other patch volumes but thought id ask here first just to save me a bit of time.

Do you have the master output for the combi at the highest level? Also check your EFX output levels.
Tone levels are such a pain in the arse. I dont know why the various makers cant put in some tools to assist with balancing tone levels. I'm asking the guys my band to tell me what sections of the songs they cant hear me in and I edit the levels after we're dont playing that song. Its a tedious and time consuming process.
i agree.. its a bitch. the EQ on the MFX seems to have done the trick though, i never would have thought of that.. its seems obvious now though. thanks axoim.
