What do you guys think about this keyboard?I'm thinking fo buying it from http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/sid=040329172254066050058003940572/g=key/s=synths/search/detail/base_pid/701490/Musicians Friends.
Anyway i don't have much money soo is it a good keyboard worth the $500, i'm gonna be playing gigs soon and stuff, and i can't afford a $1500 monster or anything like those, soo i want to get a decent keyboard for my buck.

Look into a Casio WK 3500 or 3000 if you want a cheap yet surprisingly decent keyboard.

casio2.mp3 (http://www.hut.fi/~asonnine/casio2.mp3)
$400 for the 3500, or $300 for the 3000 (same as 3500 minus mod wheel and disk drive)

A friend of mine owns it and it's a very complete synth. IMO It is worth for its price. There are also some expandable ROMs that are quite interesting.
It has also a lot of knobs to you can change some sound params in real time.

I own a S80 which is the big brother.
If you're a preset player, you have a excellent board with the s03. Great presets, even some voice creating possibilities! Don't expect a complete workstation, but if you're going for a price quality comparasiation Yamaha is the company and the s03 is a excellent, great sounding synth to begin with.
If you can find a second hand s80 you can really be satisfied.. Loads and loads of possibilities, great sounds, nice feel. And not as expensive as other boards in the same category

I have a Yamaha S03, it is the 1st synth I've bought, I think it has great preset sounds (organs, EPs, choir...) that you can edit once you know how it works (it has taken me a few months, but it was my 1st keyb..) but of course the keys are light.
In fact, after hearing Liquid Shadow's sound, I agree that if you find a cheap CASIO, you'd better go for it.
