Everebody talks about synths here, but lets not ignore an important part of every keyboard: the stand....

So what is the best keyboard stand for you guyz?
By the best I mean:
- light weighted?
- portable?
- stable?
- durable?
- nice design?
- good price?

I really like roland KV-S7 aka V-stand, but I don't have it, so I don't know if it's good...

Hay AC, I use Standtastic stands EXCLUSIVELY. They are VERY strong, VERY sturdy, very fast to set up (about 60 seconds), Look decent, and have adjustable Height, tilt, and DEPTH. One of the best kept secrets out there.

Love 'em!!

Yeah, they look awesome indeed...

But... (probably a stupid question) how do I order one? I can't find out where to do that... :S

Ive got a Ultimate Apex stand and it great. Lightweight aluminium frame with capacity for 2 keyboards, sits a 25 KG S90es comfortably and is very stable while headbanging and playing!

Looks hot too!

I now use this proline 2 tier stand with the second tier having a tilt thing... I use it jens johansson style (added an extra hole to the bottom to lower it). It was about 100 dollars and is easy enough to carry with one arm. It serves its purpose well, and has a place for me to stand one leg on to be all cool. I also have an ultimate apex stand which i havent used live yet because it is too bulky/time consuming to set up and I havent had a need for two live boards :)

Well, I'm getting Fantom x8 next week (I hope, atleast). I want a good stand, because it's pretty heavy - 30 kg.
Roland V-stand can hold more than 110 kg and it's made out of alluminium (aircraft technology). You can also buy some "add-ons" and you have a stand for 2 keyboards and a laptop. But it won't be neccesary with a kick-ass keyboard like fantom  (150$)

But I will have to wait few months, because purchase of the Fantom will be devastating to my budget, but it's totally worth it.

I'm using a couple Ultimate IQ2000 stands with the 2nd tier. I took one of them and set it up ala Jens / Derek S. The other holds my XV88 and Juno6 both are heavy boards and the stand is very stable.

I have the most basic QuickLock double tier stand. It holds my RD-700 (25kg) and DX-7 (15kg) without moving a bit, not even when I'm "banging" it:p Also, once I put three synths on it with cases, about 70kg, it didn't show any sings of breaking up, or even bending. Seems to be enough sturdy for me, it's bit heavy, but what can you do, all synth stuff is:) Bought it from local store for 100 euros.

Ok, so maybe I'm just a freakin idiot...

I want my Karma to tilt outwards, in the same way Derek Sherinian does. I see plenty of people talk about it...but how the heck are you all doing it? I have X-type stands out the wazoo...can I do it with one of those or do I need to purchase something else?

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH </idiocy>

Yeah...so how's everyone doing?

On-Stage Stands Squeeze Tigger. I dont need a muscle stand for the Juno D, the keyboard is very lightweight
