Especially the Yamaha DGX 300... I'm thinking of buying it. This would be my first own keyboard. I understand that it has a pretty good piano sound.
More info on the board can be found here (http://www.yamaha.com/yamahavgn/CDA/ContentDetail/ModelSeriesDetail/0,6373,CNTID%253D2711%2526CTID%253D205200%2526VNM% 253DLIVE%2526AFLG%253DY%2526LGFL%253DN,00.html#)

I guess it would really depend on what you want to do with it, but it honestly really doesn't sound that bad...
Also how much??

Wow. Listening to the other clips... Sounds like the ONLY good thing it has going for it is the Piano and MAYBE a couple of bass and drum sounds. Everything else.. :?
Kinda Meh, unless all you need is the piano sound.

How does Casio WK 3000 and 3500 compare to the Yamaha DGX?
Thanks for the oppinions Enigma. :)

I have a DGX-200, and in the beginning I tought it's very good keyboard,
great sounds and other things like recording, but after half years playing
I began to hate the touch of keys, later i found the pitch bend wheel was "löysä" as we say in Finnish (I can't just remember what it is on
english), Alltough the sounds in this portable keyboard aren't so good, when you compare them to example digital pianos.
The pros are that it's:
-lightweight
-it's not expensive
-you can record your own creations
(-I don't know the waterfall keys but they might be better than my ones)
And the cons:
-Piano sound:Maybe it's best you can get with synth keys, but when you want a "real" piano, you can't trust this alternative
-pitch bend (as explained on top)
-you can't save nothing that you change on patches, example: you make a distortion effect lead with perfect delay and reverb, then you click one button: change patch, and all will be lost patch is reseted to preset!
(really annoying when it comes bandplaying)
-press one wrong button and "hyper groove" drum pattern begins to play, at 92bpm
-polyphony 32 it's not so much when you think it you can't even do a glissando from g7 to e2 when polyphony rans out (this is the thing what i don't understand on Kurzweil)
-it only has one footswitch controller -> it's sustain, and midi in/out (it's a pro)
I know that DGX-200 and 300 are different but the main features remain.
This is only mine opinion and i think that if it's your first keyboard its noteworthy alternative. This depends that if you have to save money for a keyboard, but i would wait some time and invest some more money and buy "a real synth" where you can really modify patches and else. I know that in Finland everyting is f***ing expensive, i live in Oulu and when i go to local music store i found these prices:
-Korg Karma 2200€
-Roland RS 50/70 1200-1500€
-Nord Electro 73 1200€
-Yamaha DGX-200, 300 500-600€
I dont remember the prices so preciesly but it's about this.
In Other Words: move away from Finland...
Sorry my bad english but you know, the finns...
This is getting very far from the original topic....

Thanks for the help Viking! Perkele! :D
I just ordered Casio WK 3000 from Thomann for 419 €. You should buy something from there too Viking. They sell a lot cheaper than the typical store in Finland. Yamaha DGX 200 costs 279 € and the DGX 300 costs 366 €.
My friends usually buy most of their stuff from there. Check it out!! :) www.thomann.de/suomi
