Hey guys, does anybody have the Grand Illusion sheet music? Time for another audition, hehe.

I remember the midi data existed for it, but I don't think there was ever an actual transcription that was released because of the whole "free time" thing.

Oh all right. Well, perhaps anyone has the midi? :D

Thanks Dave, btw.

I made a sheet music for the last part. Its hard to understand notes from the midi file.

Woah it is great!! Where did you get that from? Is it DT?? What album? I think I haven't got it yet...! I must have it!

Thanks Arda!

Edit: I imported the MIDI file to Guitar Pro 4, and it sounds absolutely horrible. There are a ton of notes missing, and some chords sound dissonant. However, when I played the MIDI file as audio, it sounded perfect. Anyone know what happened?

yeah, Guitar Pro 4 happened to it.

Get a better midi editing proggy ;-)

If you want to import it to the guitar pro, you need to make a new tuning for this kind of midi files. If you use "6 string standart guitar" tuning then you see the notes only between E3-A#7. So i made a new 7 string tuning between A1 and C7 so GP can import more cleaner. Best way to see the notes is using a program like cubase but it still looks bad because it recorded live (i mean recorded while playing).
I'm gonna make a complete sheet music but i really dont have time for this. I made some GP files. They are very short but i'm gonna complete them and write them in sibelius soon..

Hey Arda what program did you use to make that sheet music? At the moment I'm using this old midi program which I think came out in like 95!

How the heck can I make the score look readable? I tried importing the midi with Sibelius 3 and it was just a pure mess :frown:

I know the feeling. I would swear I've got all the settings messed up or something...it's just gibberish.

Any advice?

just use Noteworthy composer. I have used several programs ( sibelius, GP) and noteworthy was the best to display the notes.
That's one thing I miss when I change to Mac.
