Hi!

I will buy this monster, but i can't decide: S or not S.

I will buy with the S option if it can do the following:

1. With the keys I control a laptop through midi.
2. On the laptop there are a bunch of VSTi-s :)
3. Then the laptop out is routed through kdfx. (Live Mode)
4. And i can play simoultan....ly (sorry) internal programs with the kurz.

I read in the manual that for livemode i must use C4, therefore i think i cant play.

So, is there a trick or not? :)

THX all your helps!!!

So my question is:

Can I control a laptop through midi and can I play the kurz's internal programs while I'm in live mode?

Sorry, my english not that good.

I haven't undersant correctly.

What you want is to play the k2600 internal sounds and at the same time your's laptop's vst?

If that what you said, I don't see why you couldn't

idp,

I believe that what you're asking is possible, with the exception of running your VST's through Live Mode in real time, while trying to play the rest of the keyboard's sounds / control the VST's. I'm not 'official' tech support for Kurzweil, but I'll ping them and let you know...

Hi!

Ivory:

On another forum a guy told me, that all is possibble (midi-livemode-internalsounds) using 3 zones in setup mode.
Is he right? His idea is very logical, but could you ask it from the Kurzweil guys?
This thing will make the decision for me :) With or without S option.

Thanks again!!!

... or what can Jordan say about this issue? :)

He's the K-Wizard and is in the VSTi business too :)

And if this thing is possible, he SURELY tried it or used it. Who if not Jordan :) When I read what live mode is capable of, my first thought was routing the vst-s throught the K. And I'm not a programmer genius.

So, Jordan if you have the time and patience for a coming K newbie...khhmmm please help.

Thanks for everyone who replies!!!

Just buy the KORG triton Le instead.

But the Korg hasn't got the Kurz's sound!

1. So, first of all I want a Kurzweil because of its sound.
2. Second, for it's flexibility in sound processing (Vast/Kdfx).
3. Third for its controlling ability.
4. For it's look.

Maybe there's some possibilities in the Kurz that I wont use, but I thinking in long term. So if I buy a Korg Tr.Le for the K's half prize (it's cost in Hungary) then later a Kurz, it's not a good business. Anyway, I want a Kurz!!!

I'm not buying the Kurz just for the Vst issue I started this topic on. It's just about the sampling option.

So, a Korg Triton Le isn't my business.

But I think, I'll buy a Juno-D... (just kidding)

Hey guys, here's the reply I received back from Jean...

Hey CJ

Yes this can be done.* Remember the K26 is*multi-timbral and Live mode is nothing but a program with 1 or 2 (more too if you are really sick) running oscillators.* Nothing says this can't be happening on one MIDI channel while the other 15 are doing something else.* A number of different techniques can be used to activate a C4 note on a given MIDI channel and hold it.

-jb

If you need further support on this, just email support@kurzweilmusicsystems.com, and it may take a couple of days, but you will get a reply back -- Jean is the man.
