hi guys, a friend of mine is selling a Korg TR Rack for about $460 dlls.. he says its like new, just used in studio. i haven't test it yet, so if anyone have used it...

how good are the sounds??

is it a good price??

I've got one. It's pretty cool. It's got a lot of bread and butter synth sounds and is very capable if you know how to program (though the rack interface SUCKS). Some of the acoustic sounds are pretty dated, especially the piano, but a couple of the organs aren't bad at all. I'm actually looking at selling mine too. I've got a Motif 6 and originally bought it so I can double the basic sounds and stack things, but since I've stopped gigging as a keyboardist I don't really need it anymore.

$460 honestly seems a bit high to me. I bought mine for like $350 on ebay last fall (though I had to do some soldering repair when I got it). I'd look at ebay and see what some of them are going for today. I'm not trying to say your friend is ripping you off, I just think you might be able to get a better deal on a synth that's going on 10 years old.

Thanks a lot jeebus, i know that the interface sucks, must be hard to program.. and the price seemed high for me too, but this guy didn't offered it to me :P he just mention that he will sell it. mayb ehe can low the price a little... anyway, i would like to test it first, maybe its useless for me, or maybe i can't program the sounds there!! :P

Yeah man just tell him you're possibly interested, and test it out for awhile. If you really like it, make an offer. If he says it is too low and you don't want to go higher, just smile and back out of it, then hop on ebay and snag one for a great deal.
