These altecs:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BKE8QQ/sr=8-20/qid=1148291211/ref=sr_1_20/103-7908719-5595068?%5Fencoding=UTF8

They're a rebadged version of the Etymotic ER4S (long-time industry standard) at about 1/5th the price. They added a little bass boost, but its basically the same design, and as I understand they can be mated to custom ear-molds from Westone Labs just like the regular ER4S.

Have you tried those? I don't know I think I'll go with the super.fi 3 the clear ones...because I was looking for earphones with a transparent cable too..

EloHiR ElEnDIl,

Maybe I'm a bit late to this thread party, but I'd seriously check out the Ultimate Ears UE5Pros -- I've been using them for almost a year now, and I am flat amazed -- they sound great! I may be upgrading again to some triple driver Westones, but only if I can get the 'brother-in-law' deal, if you know what I mean

No If you're going to use them with your ipod and carry them everywhere and listen to music in your school hiding from the teachers....

How about the Shure e3C or e5Cs?

As I remember, both are pretty small.

Personally, i'd just go with another set of e2s.

I'd like them but there are far away from my range as I said $100 max. Yeah I'm thinking that but I tought "maybe there are better at that price" and i'm scared of have another e2c go to ruin. because the part of the cable that sits in your ear it got cut. so that's why one doesn't sound the other one does. and I see that the ultimate ears one have that part like reinforced.

P.D I think you won't understant

No, I understand. Why haven't you tried getting your e2Cs replaced/repaired by Shure? I know that they do do that, you know - you have a year's warranty from the word go.
