Im new to the forums and its late so I haven't had time to check all the different threads to see if this question is answered so I'll just ask. My band owns a Fantom X8 and we're trying to record some live vocals into the machine while playing the synth for some simple background music (we're making a pre-recorded intro for our shows). We plan on then taking the voice once its recorded and adding some effects to it on the synth to give it more of a demonic voice to it. Abviously we're wanting to multi track it, one track being the vocals, and one the music itself. We want to do all this on the synth and be able to save it on the synth for future use (also if possible transfer the completed file to our computer to back it up just incase it gets erased from the synth). If it is possible, does anyone know how we can go along doing this?

I own a Fantom X7. If you're just looking to create a "demonic" voice, you can plug your mic directly into the board through the line-in, use the 2-phase pitch shifter and tune the harmonics down about -12 for the first pitch and -11 for the second. After that's set-up, just key the music and talk into the mic. When you're done, press the skip-back sampling button and you got the entire thing saved as a sample. Edit it as you see fit, apply effects, etc...save it and then you can export/backup/transfer with it all day long.
