Hi...I Have a Kurzweil K2600, a Kurzweil PC1X and a Korg Trinity Plus
I would please like to know how to play the keys of the PC1X, but i want the sound of the Kurzweil K2600, cause the keys of the PC1X are better, but i also want to use some sounds of the PC1X. How can i Do That ??? can i use the knobs of the k2600 to change some setting in real time ?? Can i add the Korg to This Chain ?? Can i use the k2600 Ribbon while playing keys in the PC1X ? How can i program my chain to change the sounds with 1 touch, cause i dont have time to change all the sounds in each key ??? For example if i have String on the k2600, Piano on the PC1X, and a Lead one the Trinity, but when i press the pedal or press one button, i have Brass on k2600, Cello on PC1X and an FX Effect on Korg...Can i do that ?? How ???

Just the basics, perhaps then you'll find the best way for you to connect the boards:

Everything you do on your board (keys, knobs, bender...) can go to the internal sounds, to midi-out, or to both (depends on the settings of your board, contact your manual). And everything that comes in from midi-in will affect the internal sounds.

So if you want to play your K2600 from the PC1X you have to connect the midi-out of PC1X to midi-in of the K2600. then everything you do on the PC1X can affect the internal sounds of PC1X and the sounds of K2600. And you can still use the K2600 in the normal way. If you also connect the K2600 midi-out and the PC1X midi-in you can play the PC1x-sounds using the K2600-keys.

Another possibility is to use midi-through (now we talked about all three mdi connections). What comes through the midi-in of a board will affect the board's sounds as I mentioned, and the same signals will go through to the midi-through. So connect PC1x-midi-out to K2600-midi-in and K2600-midi-through to Trinity-midi-in: now everything you do on PC1X will affect the PC1X-sounds, the K2600-sounds and the Trinity-sounds.

Read your manuals for all your boards what they write about the midi-settings and you'll find a lot of useful settings.
