Finally, after 13 days of waiting, I have my Fusion 8HD. I went ahead and updated the OS to 1.22 and added all of the Hollow Sun banks, and I must say, I'm completely blown away!!! This thing is awesome and I haven't even scratched the surface yet. Heck, I haven't even made it past the presets yet to dig into the synthesis types. Seriously people, if you have a chance to try one out or even get, I'm gonna say it's definitely worth every penny. More updates and hopefully a few songs in the near future.

Congrats! The Fusion really is an awesome machine.
Were you able to work something out with Musician's Friend? I would have tried to get some of the price tacked off or something for making you wait so long.
Eh, oh well...the important thing now is that you have it. Let's hear some samples!

I WANT
damn... have to wait a bit. The girlfriend managed to convince me to blow some cash on a Caribbean Cruise. I'll have to wait till June in order to replenish my play-money-buy-gear-I-don't-really-need-but-really-want fund.

Hi guys!!! (I've just joined the community, so it's my first post  )
What do you think of the fusion's reverb? I played the fusion in a shop and i really loved them (I played it more than 2 hours  )... but the only thing that stopped me from selling my triton and buying it was that dreadful reverb... it sounds like an room with metallic walls!!!
So would to know... it's still so bad or they improved it with the new OS???

they haven't really improved it, but i found you can make it much more tolerable by not only making sure the bus "send" level isn't that high, but also the "bus return level"--they always have it at 100%. if you cut this down to even like 75% percent, you get a less hissy reverb.
the fusion is a great board, but you need to tweak it

I tweaked it for testing the reverb, but it has only 4 parameters... the reverb of the triton is really better (until alesis don't improve the fusion)...
I have an Waldorf Q Rack and a DSI Evolver to complement my Triton... so if i'll change it for the Fusion i have to use it more for the "Real" sounds (and the FM)... but that reverb really waste my plan...
PS. But it's true... the Fusion it's a great board... more than others synth that I tried in the stores it has a strange charming personality...

i don't mean tweaking the settings of the effect, i mean tweaking the Bus Return Level...it's on the "Bus" page in the effects section, under the "Send" levels...it's basically an okay reverb if you don't have it on that high
however, yes, i'll agree that triton has MUCH better reverb

If the effects on the fusion bother you that much, and you just can't get a good sound with them, disable them totally and use an external effects pedal - you could probably do a deal with wherever you're buying your Fusion from - get the keys, then get the pedal half price or something.
Worth a shot, anyway.
EDIT: By the way, of all the controllers on the Fusion, how many are reassignable? Can you set the pitch wheel to be +2/-12? Things like that.
