View Full Version : Can a Kurz K2500XS be supported just on the ends?

When I transport my K2500XS, I have to place it in my little Bronco in such a way that the keyboard is only supported from the ends. One end lays on the floor and the other end is about 8 inches higher resting on the top of the folded down seat. I would hope that one of the reasons the thing weighs a ton is that it is very well supported.

I'm sure it will be fine like that. It's a solid metal casing, I don't think you should have any problems with it.

That's what I was thinking, but wanted to hear it from someone else. It would be a sad day if anything ever happened to my kurz.

Hopefully that day doesn't come when I try to install the KDFX option about one - two weeks from now. I've done alot of computer repairs over the last 8 years and actually built my last computer from an empty case. Next time I'm just going to buy one that's already put together.

Thanks Brett,

John.

John, I'm warning you now: KDFX isn't as easy as it seems. I've built NUMEROUS computers from scratch, and I had an engineer helping me install KDFX - It didn't work for me. And then it cost 2500$ to repair.
Save yourself a lot of hassle and get a pro to install it. At least then if it messes up, THEY have to repair it, not you.

Please please PLEASE listen to me - I'm talking from experience. It doesn't matter how well you THINK you know what you're doing... It's not something you should be doing yourself. Anything else... Roms, Sampling, whatever, it's fine, but this is something you should just let be.

PLEASE listen to me.

Have KDFX professionally installed. You might void your
warranty and cause damage as well.

I'm well pass the warantee. I've had the board for at least two years. I"d be more concerned about breaking it & not being able to use it for a while.
