vi-ta-lij ku-prij....i just pronounce it like I read it.

it's so depressing watching that after I pull a 5 hour practice session learning some blues licks and still not getting them to sound right :frown:

Do you think it sucks???

basically,yes...
another shredding without purpose, playing bach's pieces on some cheap sounding awfull lead (sorry,it really sounds that to me)..not impressed at all.ofcourse, that is only my HUMBLE opinion :)

Yea, I agree with drumadima, seems that Vitalj Kuprij is the "Fransesco Fareri" of keyboards. Dunno how many hours in day you must practise to play triad
arpeggios that fast, but it doesn't impress me much..

I agree, and I thought it was pretty sloppy at times too. and pretty boring...

I wasn't serious about transcribing it...I guess a failed little joke lol

He's just playing some random stuff at Fareri's house. The only reason this video is cool is that it's Kuprij  and I'm honestly pretty damn impressed by that little showcase.

I love his "High Definition" CD.
Very hot shredding from him and Greg Howe.

Agreed.
I know he has a great technique, but that is just shred-diarrhea... no feeling, and his leadsound is terrible.

"shed-diarrhea" LMAO!!!! Yeah, I went back and listened to it a couple more times and can definately see everyone's point. That lead sound does sound low end casio-ish. He's no Jordan Rudess but I dig him though. I let my wife see it and she was like UHG in 5 seconds. Maybe he should try singing his solos out loud first too hehe.

Waaaaaaaaaa how can you people throw comments like "he's no Jordan Rudess" or that lead sound sucked....he's not playing with his equipment and it's just a little thing he pulled off. Trust me he's capable of much much much more impressive things; I'd easily put him at the same skill level as JR.

Sorry dude. I just dont think he's quite there with the wizard. He's good and has technique, no question. Ive seen vid of Jordan just goofing around and its still brillant.

Dont get me wrong though...Id still ask Kuprij for his autograph if I bumped into him at Starbucks.

calm down, guys ;)
neoclassical style can be loved or not. Personally, I don't like neoclassical too much, but Kuprij seems a well skilled dude. Comparisons with JR are useless... since they have two different playing style.

Cheers,
Luca

As far as speed demons go, my vote would be for keyboardist Lale Larson.
His work with guitarist Todd Duane in Electrocution 250 is some of the most INSANE progressive music I've ever heard!

I don't think anything he did was really difficult, but it's still cool to see him putz around. In concert though...that's when he's a crazy mofo.

My college has that same Korg, and they wont let me buy it from them.

That was decent at parts but still quite sloppy too.

Also, it's pronounced Vit-Ah-Lee Koop-Ree.

Thanks for the pronounciation tip speedy. That's the way my wife thought it should be said too. The "j" is silent.

What Korg is it??
