so i was at sam ash/guitar center today and i spent some time playing the Fusion 8HD--my first time trying out this keyboard in person...and i have to say, i was impressed! the piano is decent, but i was pretty impressed with a lot of the other sounds, especially the synth and reed instrument models.

however, after exploring it for a while and taking a look at a .pdf of the reference manual, i still can't figure out how you would integrate an external sound module or other midi-controlled keyboard into a "Mix." say i wanted to make a split where i had an internal fusion sound on the right half of the keyboard, but then i wanted to have program triggered via MIDI on my KARMA, how i would tell it to assign that part of the keyboard to an external source and provide a bank and program select message for the sound i want on the karma??

i'm sure there's a way, but i couldn't figure it out and if i got this i would want to be able to trigger other instruments with it...so i just want to make sure it can handle this easily.

OH! i almost forgot--i noticed some varying loading times between patch changes, especially when in "mix" mode...has anyone who's used these live had much issue with slow loading times leading to missed notes/cues?

I read on the Fusion forums that you can do up to 16 parts as splits or layers, and any of them can be either internal or midi voices. How to go about it, I'm not sure... You might want to ask there...

But there is someone on this forum (can't remember the name) that has one. He might be able to point you in the right direction
