...piece that Jordan plays in his solo on LSFNY? With the fast staccato left hand part and the trills in the right hand.

if i understand you correctly, it's Beethoven's capriccio "Rondo a capriccio in G major" and other name is "Rage over a lost penny"

Indeed, it's known as one of the "more difficult" pieces. ;)

never quite understood, why you would want to play a piece of beethovens music in your keyboard solo....allways found that kinda cheap and bad tasted...IMHO,ofcourse :)

It's cheap to perform classical music? If this is what I'm thinking, he just played a snippet, and I don't think that's "cheap" or anything. Certainly not bad tasted.

In a DT concert nobody is there to hear Jordan play a full peice like that. Regardless, he still gives a nod to one of the greatest (maybe THE greatest) composers of classical music. Then he moves on to other stuff.

Bad taste? I don't think so at all.

Donīt think itīs bad taste either.. And definately not when he still make it sound so good.. I think it just adds something, at least the way itīs played by Jordan..

I agree, I definitely don't think that the Beethoven piece was in bad taste at all. It adds something a little different to the mix, rather than just playing a shredding fast synth solo.

Not to mention that JR can play whatever he wants...because he is the master lol
