I am so addicted to pitchbending right now! I was just wondering how everyone has their pitch bend set at. On my juno D I still havent gotten used to the stick, bending halfway is a hit and miss is it actually possible to hit half steps on these things or are you pretty much restricted to how you set the stick?

I've had my Fantom X8 since Sunday and i'm alright at pitching bending half a step (it's also my first keyboard lol) I'm a guitarist though and used to pitch bending so that's maybe got something to do with it. If i'm careful though I can hit a semitone bend pretty accurately.

Usually at +2/-2. On some patches i've also +4/-4 while on some leads i've from -12/+2 to -36/+2 with additional controller to low the pitch more over.

Wow! You're so prog!
When I get my first synth I think I'll try 9/8 13/16 and 17/16  That would be so sweeeet...

I'm just set at 2 half steps both directions.
It is possible (and not too difficult) to do half step bends.

I lol'ed at that.
For a couple songs, I got my leads set at +7/-9 pr something like that to get some really cool harmonic divebombs. Also, I'm addicted to bending my notes with the wheel, then sweeping with the ribbon controller while still holding the stick. It yields some pretty sweet results.

just for grins, I set up the bends on one of the performances on one of my Motif leads to go up +5 on one layer, + 8 on another layer, then -2 and -9. Makes for some very nasty noises
+2/-12 most of the time. Lotsa half-step bends and manual vibrato. Unfortunately, my pitchbend potentiometer has a dead spot in it right at the half step area (parts on order).
With a -12 set, try bending down while gliss'ing up an octave, or vice versa.
