Hey guys. I just ordered The Total Keyboard Wizardry book w/CD and was wondering if someone would tell me what some of its best features are and what I can expect to get out of it. Is it as good or better than (by that I mean "more instructional") than say the keyboard madness dvd I own now which I really like, but think its maybe a little more demonstrational than instructional.

You can find many different exercises in it.. and I personally think it covers most things.. of course is just one book, so someday you will reach the end, but I think itīs more instructional than the video.. some of the exercises are the same, but the etudes I havenīt found on any other place( but Iīm not a member of the JROC yet so..)

You should also get the Keyboard Wizardry DVD, a very valuable illustration of the OC exercises. All together, you should be able to get an in-depth glance of the JR teaching philosophy. It is not important to learn all the songs/exercises, rather learn to apply the principles he teaches all along the way (accent shifting, open/close, etc.) to any song that you learn/play.

Thanks. I'll get it.
