oh man that show kicked so much ass. Definitely the best DT show I've ever seen (this was either 5 ot 6). I only wish I had brought my telephoto lens for my camera to get a few better shots (was on the balcony for the first half and on the floor for the 2nd). Setlist was awesome. Goddam I want a Continuum.
Ok, enough of the rambling... onto the pics!
I haven't done anything other than resize and crop 2 of them, so they're not the best looking...

not sure if it was japanese, but it was certainly a weird beard!
for everyone who wasn't there, the guy playing drums w/ MP in that one pic is the drummer from Anthrax (can't remember his name). At the end of the second set, they did "Home" and ended it with a drum solo, during which Portnoy brought this guy on and they did a bunch of solo-ing off one another, then started to play cover songs (including "We're Not Gonna Take It" lol) and some DT songs, and JM and JP (i think) started playing along from offstage). it was a really cool DT moment.
great show!

Damn, that stage looks a million times better than the one at PR. And he brought his modular! SHIT! I was hoping he would bring his to San Juan, but it must've cost a lot to ship it overseas anyways.

The setlist in Chicago was so awesome, too! Pretty different from the other shows in Europe.
DT played "Take the Time", "Innocence Faded" and "Raise the Knife". These are all songs which were not recorded on DVD before, and I hope that at least TTT will be played on April 1st, because that song is a killer!

How often does he use the modular? I've heard its just on that one part of Octavarium, in which case I would question the need to bring it along. Of course there's the novelty of actually having it, but between the OASYS's capabilities and the fact that he also owns a Voyager, I think it would be easy enough to get that same sound without breaking the crew's backs.
Those who have seen them live (when he had the modular with him), what's the scoop?

Besides Octavarium, he used it on a few other songs (I think he might have used it during Take The Time, but I could be wrong). It looks like he's been trying to incorporate his new instruments into the show, which I think is pretty cool. He played the Continuum during Peruvian Skies (along w/ the little Anthrax number they did). And he played the lap steel during Learning to Live (very cool sounding). I'm really trying to think back to other times he played the modular, I know there was, but I can't remember off the top of my head.

Yep, your memory is good, he used it on These Walls, at least on the europe tour!
Majesty: TTT is on the DVD "Live in Tokyo" but maybe you meant that it first was recorded on VHS .. then just fixed on DVD too..

That's what I meant. I haven't seen this song live yet, but I am sure it is awesome to experience it with Jordan on keys!
