Thanks 2 Frank – Warren Cucurullo,
I highly recommend this one, Very Raw very aggressive and emotional and NO OVERDUBS you can defently hear the Zappa influence without being imitative, Vinnie colaiuta & Pino Palladino lay down some killer foundations, and most importantly they play their hearts
Toto - Falling In Between
Red Dawn - Never Say Surrender (David Rosenthal @ keys)
Hammerhead - Heart Of Stone (David Rosenthal again)

Brad Mehldau "Largo": Really cool album, not his usual jazz trio stuff, more experimental, similar to E.S.T stuff if you know them, and as always a masterpiece.
Brad Mehldau "The Day is done": His latest trio album w/ a new drummer. Excellent.
Hiromi "Spiral": mmmm, based on a few listens, it's more of the same stuff as her previous albums, but overall a solid offering. Comes w/ a dvd of "Kung Fu world champion" have to be seen to be believed :)
Boris Berezovsky "Godowsky studies on Chopin etudes": Insane, even more insane, it's recorded LIVE!!! I also have the Hamelin version.
Barilari "Barilari": I got this one b/c Jens is playing keys, and I heard a few samples over at the ProgSounds forum. Not as I hoped, but still quite good nontheless. I thought it would be more prog. but it turned out to be mostly metal :D
I guess that's it.

I love On an Island (Gilmour's new album). It's a very mellow album, like the title sounds. I really reccomend it, I haven't really stopped listening to it since i got it. Well, I listen to some of it every day basically. I really like the mood the songs make. It's just basically great music. I'm not sure how to tell you how it is in comparison to Pink Floyd. It's good. It has it's guitarist and singer. It's gilmour, dammit :D i've heard that his other solo albums arent so hot, but I think this one is great. Rick Wright actually plays on a couple tracks. A friend told me that he thinks it's like a mixture of Meddle and Rick Wright's album Wet Dream. I havent heard the latter, but meddle is my favorite floyd album actually (next to Dark Side). I think it's deffinately worth the buy. But another friend of mine doesnt like it, simply because it's a mellow album. He has issues though...
