Funny that you'd post this....I was listening to RMP on my iPod today and thinking that I should transcribe some more of the tunes. I already transcribed Night Winds and I've been playing it live in a duo warmup out in clubs. It goes over great every time we do it!

I'd shoot you a chart but I did the whole transcription by ear. It's all in my head with nothing on paper. That's not usually how I transcribe tunes but I just really got into Night Wind one night and had it nailed by about 3 AM and then crashed.

Jordan is such a phenomenal composer! His tunes keep moving and they are so well developed! He is a master at melodic and harmonic development.

Night Winds is fun to blow over. I usually morph the harmonic structure a bit when I play it live. I move it from towards substitue suspended and major seventh tonalities - it works great. It also is a nice showcase for the drummer.

Rod Morgenstein is friggin animal on drums. I saw him a couple nights ago at Toads in New Haven with Jazz is Dead. They played a few tunes without Rod to start the set. It's a two-drummer act so Jeff Sipe covered drums for the first part of the show. When Rod came on stage, the whole act changed. Rod took over the set with his presence. The man is just full of energy and innovative ideas. He also swings like a crazy! I strongly recommend people check out the Jazz is Dead shows over the next couple weeks. It would be great to hear Jordan sit in with that band!

I've already transcribed OtE and made all the sounds for it on the Kurzweil... Here's the .sib file for it *You need siblieus or however you spell it lol*

Because of the file extensions, you'll have to rename it from OverTheEdge.sib.mid to OverTheEdge.sib
I've also included a Midi as well - It's not 100% accurate, but I've listened to 3 different variations of OverTheEdge that JR's played, and this seems to be the most common version that he does. *There's the Romscapes version from the Kurzweil site, There's the RPM version, and then there's the solo version he used to play when he did the keyboard solo on the LTE tour*

Anyway, hope this helps :)

Oh and as a courtesy - Because I provided this one, does someone want to do Crossing Over? I know the first little bit of it, but it's another one that I'd really like to learn to play and just don't have the time to transcribe it all accurately.

:-D

Sounds very accurate to my ears  But is it possible for you to create a .pdf with Sibelius. I tried importing the MIDI with Guitar Pro 5 and well, the score wasn't readable at all.

Working on it now - I can save stuff as .bmp or whatever, but not as a PDF, though I may have found a temporary solution. Give me a few minutes :-)

There. I just put everything into a zip file. *The PDF, Mid and Sib file*

This is much cleaner too ;-)
