Hi Folks...
Well, The Wizard Jordan said us on the 9th episode of Nine Degrees of backstage tourbulence, that he uses about 19 sounds to play the whole song, right?
So, what do you think that are the most necessary sounds to play the entire song?
I mean...
Organ, strings, maybe some kind of pad and a lead....
Give me your opnion :-)
I'm using a JD-800 and a SP88

Well i think he meant 19 not different sounds... but 19 "spaces" where to put the sounds (i mean.. beginning: lead, then strings, then organ, then again strings...again organ..)
..am i wrong? :P

I think you aren't.
In fact I use:
-Smooth Saw
-Delay FM Piano
-Synth Brasses
-Delay FM Piano
-Synth Brasses
-Cutting Lead (For the "unison" riff)
-Organ+Strings
-Strings
-Synth Brasses
-Delay FM Piano
-Synth Brasses
-Cutting Lead (For the "unison" riff)
-Organ+Strings
-Strings
-Synth Brasses
-Smooth Saw (Solo)
-Synth Brasses
-Delay FM Piano
-Organ+Strings (Ending riff)
They look like 19...so this is my version...but with advanced zone editing you could even use 2-3 less.
I'm now moving into double board programming, so I'll have less patches (Alesis QS church organ with additive synth rocks IMHO).
Deceit.
