I have a new piece called "Machinery" on which I layered multiple sounds from the JD-800 based on a rhythm from the Wavestation (ie a wavesequence).

Enjoy (or not!)

Thanks for listening. That track is more like a demo of the JD800 & Wavestation (some sounds from juno 106 and matrix 1000 as well)
I've just posted a Juno 106 demo recorded today. Same URL.

I liked the rhythm track, it was pretty cool, had some neat echo goin on. Defintly had a synth-pop industrial feel to it. Listening to it, I wondered how many layers were hidden to a first listen. If there was a lot of intricate behind the scenes stuff going on, I would be thorougly impressed.. otherwise I'm gonna have to stick with the critique that the song is very plain. The melody lines are, for lack of a better word, boring? Slow moving and predictable lead lines are going to give the feeling of a Casio keyboard style 'instrument demo.
I hope you weren't TRYING to make it sound like an instrument demo hehe..
So I would say take that song off the shelf and spice it up! Add more layers and write a more interesting lead line. There's a lot of empty space to fill and that song. Something I would've liked to hear is more variation on the rhythm line as the song progresses.
Hope that advice comes as some use to ya! Thanks for sharing your piece!
