Hey folks...

does any of you know where I can buy/order a bending mechanism for Korg N5? I'm in Vienna, Austria, and in one of the Korg dealers here they said to me that it's an old keyboard, and that spare parts are not available anymore... :(
is that true?

any kind of help is welcome.... :D

Hi dude!

Try asking in this forum http://www.musik-meyer.net/zoiap1/KorgMoreForum/

That's the German Korg forum, if they cannot help you, it looks dark for the spare part.

But that's the price for being obsessed with soloing ;)

I can hardly believe that those parts are not available anymore. I'm sure i could order it at Korg from the musicstore i work in (also Korg dealer in the Netherlands). All the big manifacturers (like Roland and Yamaha) have lots of spare parts even for really old stuff, and this bender is (almost) the same is used in a Triton...if i'm not mistaken.

I hope you can find a dealer for this spare part and get your bender fixed.

Regards,

Rutger

Could you do me the favor of asking for it, if you're already registered?
my german is still pretty poor... if not, it's ok... but I'd owe you for that! :D But that's the price for being obsessed with soloing ;)

...well I'm a bender maniac... sue me!

No, unfortunately, it's not a joystick like in trinity/triton models, it's a wheel, like on Kurzweil...

Could you please ask around just a bit, if it's not a problem...
I'm really interested to find out if what they're saying is true...
my bender is beyond bearable condition now... it's going berserk...
...
any contact information to any place where I can buy/order it would be welcome...

sorry if I'm being boring or something, but I'd really, and I mean REALLY appriceate any help with this! :D

I have an X5 and from what I remember its not that different from the N5 I think the case was identical to the X5D which is still in production.

I wonder if there is a difference between the pitch wheels on those 2 boards.

I played on X5D a few months ago, and the bender felt awkward... but I think it's not because the bender itself was different, it was beacuse it has a different place on the keyboard.... mine is on the left of the first C note, and X5D, if I remember correctly, has it's bender above the first C note....

Oh, I wonder what I'm thinking about then. Sorry I thought they were in the same case.
