I know
Kurzweil 2600XS, fully loaded with 3 rom options and additional P-ram, 128 megs of sample ram, 2 alternate racks *same stats* as well as 2 triton racks, a Korg Karma and a V-synth. he also has more in his studio.
Similar - Kurzweil 2500 - That's the one *I* use and there are a few of us on here that have them too. I also run a programming site for the kurzweil specifially because it's often very difficult to program.
How much do they run? About 4 miles every day.

A HA HA HA
Around 3000$ US after shipping and taxes, depending on where you live, etc. You CAN get deals however for the roms which is only an additional 400$ or so, but we have Kurzweil representatives that lurk around here as well as programmers, etc... *Togakure - Look up this user and send a PM if you're interested. He's a great guy, and can get you the "hook up" :)*

For future refrence, there are answers to questions like these in the forum already, that's why there's the search option. :)

hope this helped.

as far as i know Jordan Rudess has loads of vintage equiptment.

Im a bit like Jordan Rudess because i really love collecting old synthesizer stuff especially vintage equiptment also i love software synths and plug-in effects and i collect as many as i can, everyday i get a new one.

get the Motu Machfive sampler where you can load most sample cds eg, roland, kurzweil etc and just simply make your dreams come true.

you really get a new one everyday?

and i think, now, the majority of JR's setup is not vintage stuff. yeah, he has a vintage minimoog and a fender rhodes, but...most of his stuff is more current

look at the wizard's log, i think there are pics of his studio, so you can see for yourself

well in my head he does have those classic korg synthesizers as well as Hammond B3s, because i know vintage equiptment needs very special care.

if you only look at the pics doesn't mean he only has those equiptment it's very hard to say that.

Jordan does not collect old synths, he grew up with them and he bought them when they were actually new!

You know, nowadays you can do just fine with a Mac G5, a USB
midi controller, and a whole slew of virtual synths and get
just about ANY sound you want. It may not be as great a
setup live because of possible latency and accessibility issues,
but much less expensive than getting all that hardware.
