Hey guys...

Hey, I have a K2600X and apparently it says in the manual that you can load in .WAV and .AIFF samples.... I put some random .WAV files from my computer on to a floppy disk. Then tried to load them into my board... It would not work, said they were "Not the right type" or something...

Anyone know how I can load .WAV files from my comp to my board???

I think they're required to be less than 48,000 khz and they also have to be 16bit samples or less to load.

The other thing to remember is that sometimes a file will be named a .wav but may not be in the windows PCM format, so something also to consider.

The .xxx file extension only tells windows what program to use to run it, but doesn't determine the actual file format itself.

Well I tried converting some files to different formats like what you said... It still says it "Cant read the file"?

Has anyone had any sucess doing this with their Kurzweil???

Please help, my goal is to be able to import wav files from my comp...

Thanks a lot

Well I can honestly say I've never had a problem importing the file - just hit "disk" then select the drive, select the file and hit open. It'll ask to import but that's basically it from what I remember. I'm not at the kurzweil right now to confirm but can't say I've had a problem.
Maybe you can upload the file and let someone else try?
