i really want to record so i did a little research and concluded that going through my computer would be the best way for me to record, but the question now is, which interface to get? i was looking mainly at firewire devices since i want virtually 0 latency (im pretty sure the whole firewire thing would prevent much latency, please corect me if im wrong). but i was going for somthing around $500...what would you experienced people suggest? i as lookng at the presonus firestation, the M-Audio Delta 410, but i dont know which is better. help!

I am currently using an M-Audio Firewire 410 and am very happy with it. Nice pre amps and clean sound all the way around. All of the outputs come in handy (i.e. I'm using outs 1-2 as my main outs, 3-4 are wired to the inputs on my Ion, 5-6 are connected to the inputs on my Nord MicroModular and 7-8 are still available for whatever I need). The two headphone outputs with separate volume controls were a nice thought. I don't really have any complaints about the box if that means anything to you. I think it was money well spent. :D

Novation has a couple of keyboards that
are midi and audio interfaces...a kind of
all in one package. Check 'em out.
