Hi friends this links are from Roland Japan Home page and contains some great demos.

The first it`s composition for piano solo with the new piano multi sample in fantom x,and well fortunately this multisample its really close to the original PIANO BANK in the Fantom S88. 8) and the SRX-02 are practically identical to this sound (great).

The next song it`s a multistyle song, and all the sounds come from the original banks in the S/S88 workstation, for the Headbangers check the 0:55 min. and contemplate the COSM POWER.

In the roland japan home page you can find many others demo songs, and personally i can say that the fantom X it`s an increidible machine but the diference with Fantom S/S88 it`s small as nothing jejejeje.Fortunately i have 4 SRX expansion boards and many of the sounds in the exp. boards are really superior to the X version. Finally the "X" or the "S" workstation are really incredibles.

this synth seems to rock hard, unfortunately I don't like the silhouette, or the way it looks, very much... anyway the sound is powerful...
nice demos...

how is the programmable aspect of the fantom? is it any good at making new sounds?

it seems like all it's sampling is geared towards "internal sampling" or used for drum loops

It's very powerful for synth programming, and the sampling features are fully usable in sound programming.

Out of many of the Roland synths, I'd have to say that
the Fantom is actually pretty easy to use. Nice interface.

Nice sounds but I think its just a high end sampler

Yeah, that's what my impression of it was too - Amazing for messing and altering samples, but what about the internal sounds and how you can shape them? I mean I'm sure that you can mess with them some, probably more then the Korg workstations, but I dunno... I'm interested in checking one out!

The synth engine shouldnt be that far off from anything that they've done before in their XP/XV the internal samples are what really got the revamping and they've improved with the sample options.

Sounds nice but I cant afford one, I'm saving up for one of these (http://www.rsportscars.com/foto/06/sciontc05_01.jpg).
