No, he went for a piss.

That must be quite a downer though, having everything go down.

No he´s just playing hide and seek with labrie in the dark corridors!:P honestly, I still sounds good without him, but not as good as with him..

I remember that show well -- his battery-backed power supply unit, which powers EVERYTHING in his rig (keys, racks, etc) took a COMPLETE dump, simply switching the power on and off rapidly, which completely obliterated all the loaded samples and such from the (then) Kurzweil rig. I went running, full speed, to the stage from FOH where I was controlling my video rig to fix the keys problem (the programming side of life was a bit beyond the keyboard tech at the time, so I had to handle it myself). In fact, it was right as I got to the security point between the crowd and backstage, running as hard as I could at full tilt, that an Italian security guard decided, unwisely, to try and get in my way, thinking I was a crazed fan or something trying to bum-rush the stage. I was completely unable to stop, so I just put my shoulder down -- and there was a pretty serious impact. I don't know what happened to him, but on the other side, I remained on my feet, moving towards the stage, so I just continued running all the way up the stairs to the non-functioning rig. I didn't know any footage of that part of that show existed... it's kinda funny to see it. Brings back memories. ;) As for fixing the rig, it was back up and running again for ITNOG, the very next song. :)

Thats right everyone, Bert just told us that if we run from FOH down to the stage at full speed that we can successfully take out the security guard and get on stage. MP, you better be ready for a SOY BOMB!
