so, i have a triton proX and i have a slight problem with the joystick

the up and down movements are fine, but when i move to the right, it does not snap back fully to the center...it like goes almost all the way to the center. moving to the left is fine, but not the right

has anyone else had this problem? is there a way to fix it yourself? i was tempted to open up my board and try, but i'm nervous....

any ideas? thanks

yes, I have the same problem.
I have a Korg iX300, ( with the same trinity's joystick ), and the left-right movements were fine for the first 2 years...now I have exactly the same problem you have, it doesn't bother me too much 'cause in my case, this snap problem only causes a tiny variation in the pitch...I can only feel it using some very clean lead sounds...
I woudn't open my synth at home, I don't have the nerve for that...I think it must be a internal coil weakness that causes that...why don't you bring it to a technician?

Hi,the joystick problem it`s common in Korg Trinity/Tritons series and you need to go with the keyboard tech (oficial or unoficial korg tech,it`s your choice).
It`s not a big problem an maybe you can solve this `cause it consist in a small laminate that need to be placed again in the correct site and then you can fixed with silicone glue. It`s not a problem but be carefull when you open the triton.
Check this tutorial:

yeah, i've seen those pics of the open triton before...honestly, looking at them again, i don't think i'd even know what to do if i opened it...i'll try to have someone look at it...i'm not too worried, i've lived with the problem for a while now, so whenever i get the chance i'll try to get it taken care of...thanks!
