Have any of you ever heard of or are
aware of anyone having a key weight/key custom modification on a weighted
keyboard to actually give a weighted 88 key keyboard (my Yamaha S90)
semi-weighted synth
action instead of the weighted balanced action it has now. Its action is too heavy for me. I really love this keyboard
and I hate to sell it if a modification could be done.
Thanks

Mmm. I'm just thinking about this now, and I think it's a long shot - it'd probably be cheaper to buy yourself a synth-action controller. Possibly you could replace the keybed, but i'm not sure if you could find a compatible one.

I highly doubt that its possible, if you want 88key semi weighted just get yourself a used Roland RS9 and use it as a controller.

Well, it was worth a try...Keys tech e-mailed and says no mods available. I kinda figured as much but was hoping. Time to list it on ebay.

Yea... I'm really bummed but oh well. Its not the end of the world. I'll just get something else. Most likely a Motif 7 or ES 7.
