Noise Cancellation Headphones

[Over The Edge]

Anyone use 'em...either the Sony or Bose systems.
I'm interested to see if they really work and if so,
how well?

I tried a pair once for a brief moment. They were neither Bose nor Sony, they were a generic brand I can't recall at the moment. They were pretty cool although they only knocked out repetitive noise like the case fan in the room. There was also a sine wave being pumped into the room and when the headphones were switched on, they completely canceled it.

I haven't actually used a pair myself. I've heard only
one complaint from the handful of people that I know
who have used them. One complained of ringing in the
ears for several hours after use.
