Wah Pedal or expression?

hi, im wondering if i should get a wah pedal or an assignable expresison pedal for a Motif ES8, what do you think would work better?

I personally would use the expression pedal. That way you have a bit more control over the parameters, programmatically. You could have different settings for different patches, plus you can program it to do various other things.
