Hi,
I want to start a country project with a friend (just for fun), and I'm asking myself what sounds to use.
I have a Korg X5d
and a Waldorf Pulse Analog Synth.
Any ideas?
Thanks

I'd go for some Wurlitzer old-fashioned piano, Rhodes, percussion organ, but above them all, a "detuned piano" (which is, honky tonk) you can easily obtain by detuning +0010/-0010 on double oscillator mode (talking about Korg engine)...or some fx with detuning or well ok here you go -.-.

You need some sort of pedal steel sound. Perhaps a squeaky fiddle. And definitely a bit-crushed saw wave through digital overdrive.

I agree with Fiddle and Pedal steel, but why use a bitcrushed sawtooth? For solos? :)

I would just use Hammond organ and Acoustic/electric Piano sounds.

How could I forget...
Now's your chance to use that long-neglected BANJO patch!

:D
Too bad the Banjo patch in the X5d doesn't sound like a Banjo
