Is it worth picking up a used K2500 still? how does it compare to other synths of a simialr 2nd hand price i.e. triton.

Or should i just hold out for a K2600 (are they THAT different to the K2500)

A K2500 is worth it, believe me! The K2600 is, of course, a little better, but, correct me if I'm wrong, the 2600 has just more functions but works like the 2500 mainly.

Thanks for the info. I may well buy one TODAY. I've found a great deal on a "new" one (found untouched in the distributors warehouse, sounds too good to be true i know) with 12 mth warranty from a main Kurzweil dealer. Just gotta convince the wife now.

For better or worse,
Alive or dead...
I realize there's no turning back,
Kurzweil on top of Medusa's raaaaack...

Just wanted to let you guys know, my K2500 turned up this morning as promised. The thing is brand new. I know it's been out of production for a while now but this has been sitting in a wharehouse somewhere.

When i opened it it was pristene, cellphane still on the LCD. Foot pedal had not been used, all disks are still in there wrappers too and not only where the manuals there but also the two instructional vids.

COOOL!!!!

Gonna play now.
