Ipod's

I think it's not the right forum to ask.But I bought the Ipod 5g that can display images videos bla bla bla....(wating to be shipped)
But I noticed that when they talk about the batteries issues they say:

"This iPod also boasts a battery charge life of up to 14 hours of music, 3 hours of slide shows with music, or 2 hours of video. "

and about the 3 hours of slideshows with music that means that you're viewing your images and listen to music right?not that you're listening to music and that the image of the album is there.or that counts too?'cause I've been researching looking for the images of every album and to know that with that i will only have 3 hrs that suck!so maybe any of you who has/had an Ipod photo that can answer me.

It's the same with notebooks. If you run the system with the LCD switched on, the battery will be empty in 3 hours. If you switch off the LCD, the battery will be empty in 4 hours.
I guess you can switch off the display of the iPod whenever you want to save battery. If you got it in your pockets, you most likely don't want the display to be turned on, do you?
So, what you've posted up there are the times when the iPod would be empty if the display was switched on all the time. Displays always need very much battery!

i already bought the ipod video (white) and i'm fascinated of it.
i also added the cover-art to all of my titles, with a nice widget called albumart (http://www.liquidx.net/albumartwidget/).
macosx only, sorry.

no listening to music with coverart isn't the same as playing a slideshow with music.
slideshow's also include transitions, which eat a lot of battery-chargelife.

the new ipod ist truly amazing, my battery holds up to play 10-12 hours including cover-art, but without the backlit-function.

just my 4 cents.
