OH MY GOD!!! I was at my music store bringing my damn keyboard back for more repairs. When I was waiting around, I looked over my shoulder, and my jaw hit the ground instantly. I knew it had to be an OASYS cause it looked SO BEAUTIFUL!!!! Immediately I grabbed a stool and sat down in front of it to play it, and I was literally about to wet myself with excitement. What they say about the OASYS is not only true, but it beats ANY Expectations you can have for a keyboard!!! I was playing it for about an hour straight, and I knew I ONLY just scratched the surface of what it can do. This gem could literally do ANYTHING (and I can't even begin to imagine how big the manual(s) must be). The string patches really caught my ear because they were so luscious sounding. I was REALLY in love with the strange and odd synthpads and effects. I've always had an ear for strange things.
Well, I'm just letting everyone know, if you see an OASYS, SIT DOWN AND PLAY IT!!! You'll get blown away. Just one thing: the price made me cry ($10, 000)
LOL!

Ten thousand?
I thought it was going for $8,000, or £5,000. Ish.

I think he meant $10,000 Canadian.
Best.

HAHA! Thanks, that's what I meant to say. I live here up in Canada, eh? LOL! But ya, those keyboards would really break your bank, but be SO DAMN WORTH IT!!!

Yeah, it would. But as I don't gig all that much these days, I'd rather go for the NeKo Gen2.

How about filters? Routing paths? How big is the modulation matrix? There are wavetable? Did you tried to patch something?
Today i've only seen good pianos and some Karma arpeggios... want to see more :P

I'd rather go for 1/4 of this (http://www.lexus.com/assets/models/gallery/colors_popup/main_assets/exterior/is_BlackOnyx_769x369.jpg) :-)

Thats a nice car, but I think I would take the oasys to my room rather than the frame of that car :)
By the way GlassDream, did you came to Montreal to try it? If so at what shop did you stop to try it?

Glassdream, touching the Oasys you got +2 levels in the actual S&S "the Synthland Expansion".
Go, and throw the dice.
@Dani: i agree with you.

Well, the flat 14 inch LCD screen is touch sensitive for most parts, and everything is laid out fairly well (but you'll need to read the manuals like it's your bible, I can tell). As for the other details you wanted, I wouldn't be able tell you. I did jump form screen to screen trying to see what I could figure out, and it seems to be REALLY Loaded. Other than that, I can't say much more, I didn't have enough time with it. (I wish I did though)

No no, I was at my Steve's music store in Ottawa Ontario (I live in Gatineau, right across the river to Ontario), but I DID come to Montreal for Gigantour, and man, I went friggin NUTS!!! I scared a girl beside me cause I was singing along with James Labrie, note for note at the top of my lungs. It was all fair though: she went nuts during Fear Factory, and I went nuts during DT!!! Hehehe!!! LOL!
She kept giving me these looks like:"Wow.............he can sing.......Loud!" LOL!

Nah, Dani! Not a Lexus! Look which car I've seen (http://www.autogazeta.com/g/399/New_Bentley_Continental_GT-2.jpg) on the street for a couple of times here in Germany... ;)

hehe nice story! The Gigantour was really awesome! I was there with a couple of friends and I really enjoyed SX and DT. It went so fast though its just like it never happened... but I keep a good souvenir of it!
I forgot for a moment in my last post where Gatineau was. I guess they may have a copy of the Oasys at Steve's in Montreal too. Maybe I'm gonna go check this weekend.
