Mine is keeping the boards I have now, my Trinity, my Matrix6 and maybe a Kursweil sampler and some cool modules or maybe just software synths. Have the latest Macintosh PC running all my sequencing software with dual monitors. Have all mac hardware and peripherals, like the see through speakers and subwoofers n stuff. THEN, for the finale, get a 51" PLASMA TV and put it on the wall so I can run my Mac on the tv and watch the scores go by *BIG* while I play....I'd call it Rivendell.....ahhhhhh 8)

Couple of *big* live rooms... one stone room big enough to fit (and mic up) a large drum kit (9 piece or so) with a high vaulted roof for ambience... one polished wood room with parquet flooring for the main live area, with a couple of nice grand piano's in it, and space for micing up strings etc. At least 2 isolation rooms, at least 6' square, for amps or whatever. A vocal booth or two. Control room would have a big mixer, and the main recording would be on a powerful PC using Sonar as a front end for Pro Tools HD hardware. An assortment of hardware and software synths with some kind of computer controlled midi and audio routing system, controlled from 6 or so controller keyboards arranged in a U shape. The control room would be equipped for 5.1 and 7.1 mixing, yes there'd be a big plasma screen as a display, and shedloads of outboard. And of course all areas would need to be visible from all other areas, either directly or by means of a CCTV system, so that you could get a good band feel.

One day...

a K2600RS fully loaded, a Creamware Noah, a Nord Modular G2 and a GigaStudio Rack PC. An Oberheim MC2000 with an external knob box. A LinuxBox DAW with PlanetCCRMA with a Pulsar II. A good mixer and a mini bar.

See ya

Mine would be a rack case filled with an APPLE G5 Xserve rack PC, fully loaded and raid setup running MAC OSX, MOTU Performer, Mach 5 and the new MOTU synth which is coming out (It sounds great),NI B4 and Absynth, MOTU rack Firewire Audio I/O's. a 61 note controller (My PCR80) and an 88 note controller. Dual 20in monitors and Mackie speakers. Hmmm heaven. :D

All I really want to add to my current studio are about
4 or 5 Manley Slam mic. preamps,
two Mac G5's, 4 Apple 23' panoramic video monitors and
several MOTU 896 HD's.

Well, here's mine:

Mac G5 with Logic Pro, Audiophile 2496, and sitting at 3.5 ghz with 2 gig's ram, and 3 - 24" widescreen LPT flatpanel monitors for sheer "because I can" bragging rights. *hey, we can dream right??*

Behringer mixer (128 Channel?)
FANCY CABLES!!! OOOHHHHHH
Probably some Mackie Mixing console monitors

For Keyboards, I'd have
Loaded 2600XS + Loaded Rack
Loaded Triton Studio V2 ProX + Rack
Trinity V3 (76 key)
JD-800
Motif ES8
Roland V-synth

Effects -
Morley JD10 distortion pedal
KSP8 External Effects *x 2 - I need more then one*
Some compressors and stuff, maybe an Alesis midiverb or maybe a digitech something or stuff.. :)

Guitars -
Ibanez RD 7 string - I THINK it's RD? Maybe RG - I dunno.
Ibanez 6 string (Like the above version but with 6 instead of 7)
Ovation acoustic
Martin acoustic.
Ovation 12 string
Yamaha Classical guitar with piezo pickups
*all x3, all different types too*

Bass -
Richenbacker 4 string
JM signature 6 string bass
Billy Sheehan 4 string
Uncle Axiom Personal Bass Tutor. (I'd keep him in my basement apartment ;)*)

Drums

LOTS OF THEM!! *I don't know, maybe a Pearl Export series with lots of Sybian cymbals? Double bass, 11 peice rack, 2 remote highhats, etc..*

And a gong. It's all about the Gong ;)

I think that's about it I guess... More or less!!

Oh yeah.
And a Casio wk3500!!! *gotta have one of those!*

I guess I want to keep my studio tight and small and mostly electronic. I'd add a Roland V drumkit for all my drum tracks, that's about it. I like the way Jordan had all his sounds and programs hooked up to ONE KEYBOARD on his tour. I like "lean and mean." Sort of the anti Wakeman set up that spreads all over the stage. I like the idea of the mini bar, and maybe some waitresses from Hooters to give you massage and a pedicure while you watch the playback of your tracks in the Spa section, ALSO equipped with plasma tv's!

Ahhhhhh plasma tv's......*droooool*

Synth-wise, I'd have:

Nord Lead 2
NL 3
Triton Extreme 88
Motif ES8
Motif ES7
Waldorf Q+
Access Virus C
K2600XS
2 Minimoogs
Prophet-10
Oberheim Matrix 12
Hammond B3
Andromeda A6
A really big Modular System
V-Synth
Pipe Organ

I'd have a few Mesa Boogie amps for distortion, a KSP8, and a FireworX.

For recording I'd run Pro Tools on the faster (Windows) computer available with a ton of effect plugins.

Hmm, you have some useless stuff, Motif Es 7 and 8... waste of money! B-3 while having Kurzwil k2600XS? NL 2 + Nl3?

B-3 while having Kurzwil k2600XS?

Of course you need a Hammond B-3 - the Kurz is ok for organ, but KB3 mode is not at all coming close to the real deal.
Enigma said, that it's all about the gong. He's partially right, but I think it's more about the B-3.... yeah, baby...

However, if there was not room for a B-3 in the studio, I'd settle for a Nord Electro (73 key version!) to take care of all organ, clav, and epiano sounds. *drool* I want one of these so badly... :)

I think just a couple of years ago, some top tier,
big time B-3 players were involved in a virtual organ
shootout for KEYBOARD and KB3 actually got very high marks.
