Here is my 2 cents worth on the subject!
Well the day has arrived! I finally am ready to announce (after Michael of course) that my new DVD "KEYBOARD MADNESS-Master Live Performance"
is now available on my store.
There is a lot of cool stuff in this DVD including a real inside look and listen into many of the sounds (and the way they come together) from my work with Dream Theater as well as my solo projects.
This new DVD is co produced by Chris Romero- who of course was instrumental to my last book Total Keyboard Wizardry.

And now off to another gig here in the UK!

Any chance this dvd will be sold at HMV Canada? What about special requests made at HMV to order in the new JR dvd?

i would advise against ordering in through stores... Maybe its because i'm in australia, but my experience is that record shops screw you around and you end up waiting several months (5 in my case - and it was a neal morse cd) for an order...

As for if you could actually order through stores, i would guess you might have to wait awhile before the DVD actually sells alot and becomes popular enough for JR's publisher to justify promoting/exporting it etc... and then wait for it to be shipped and ordered...

Im not sure about this, anyone actually in the know about JRs publishing/distribution process fill us in.

I haven't purchased mine... I'm saving every single penny for my EBMM JP7... Should be ready for shipment in a week.

I do plan on buying this DVD later on, even though I don't play keys... Let's just hope JR kept it interesting for us non keyboardists as well.

I'm sure it's great. Just watching him play is worth it.

If you're reading this JR, cya in Brazil December 10th/11th (it's sold out already but my tickets are nice and safe in a vault). I'll be one of the crazier fans up front. Only wish I could meet the band but I guess meets & greets won't be happening down here... Oh well.

We're hoping to have a handful of clips of the Keyboard Madness DVD on the website by the end of the week.

hmm...strange. even when i go to that link, i still only see the new dvd and the vhs for keyboard wizardry. it's weird because just a few days ago, i saw both the vhs and the dvd version under the dvd/video section, and there were three separate things to click on. i dont know if it'll make a difference, but i'll try from another computer when i get the chance.

I don't mind the wait I guess. The sooner the better but I haven't had any credit or credit cards for decades. This is why I either don't get some stuff or wait a gawd aweful long time for it to arrive in local Canadian music stores.

I guess the dvd is available only directly thru JR's web sight for now? (that is when it's actually in stock)

freakin awesome. Just some of the bits on layering and splits were worth it enough for me. I thought I knew what was going on, but had no idea. Plus, some of the solo licks are going to keep me busy for a while.

Oh yeah, for the lazy that don't want to look it up on here or figure it out themselves, he explains how to build both of his lead sounds.

Only problem was that occasionally when it changes chapters, the sound drops out or the picture freezes. The disc is clean and I've never had probs w/ other discs in this player. I want to try it in a different one when I have a chance, though.

I am speechless... Incredible DVD's, with nice tricks from the master, on a lot of aspects of synthesizers programming. Its also nice to see some problems he was facing when trying to reproduce live what has ben made in the studio, and of course how he solved those problems.

We are so lucky to have a world class keyboardist like Jordan to share his knowledge with us.

Jordan, you are a genius :)

If you don't own this DVD and are a big JR fan, you're really missing something here.

Oh! The pen is very cool too! Cheap, but the moving hands on the keyboard in the upper part of the pen are priceless :)
