Ok, I have a Roland A-33 controller and run soundfonts and softynths through Cubase SX and would like to be able to use my controller just like I was playing live - so at the touch of a button I change sound.

I thought I'd be able to do this by swapping the midi channel I'm outputting on the A-33 but I can't seem to assign the individual tracks on Cubase to different input channels if they are running softsynths or anything.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks.

instead of cubase, use VSTHost: http://www.hermannseib.com/english/vsthost.htm

There's no documentation with that program. I have no clue how it's to be used.

dho.. i've linked a mistake. Try that: http://www.fxpansion.com/skunk/svh14.zip

run it, select your vst plugins folder. then select your ASIO Driver, midi inputs and so on. Every cell is a plugin and you can assign a channel.

Great thanks. Unfortunately I doubt I'll be able to use my piano patch (which is in Reason and I just slave it to Cubase) but it's not a bit worry.
